Syria: Video shows 'soldier's body' dragged through street

Records of cruelty continue to break in Syria as state TV releases footage allegedly showing naked body of Syrian soldier being dragged rebels' car

An Arab-language Iranian TV network and a Syrian state TV channel have recently reported about a video showing a car dragging the body of a naked man thought to be a Syrian soldier through the streets of Yabrud, a town north of Damascus.




The authenticity of the video remains unclear. While the world is mainly preoccupied with the atrocities committed by the Bashar Assad regime, international elements have also turn attention to the heinous crimes carried out by the Syrian rebels.

Iran's al-Alam network, a pro-Assad media outlet, reported that the man seen in the video is a soldier who was abducted by armed militants while guarding a bus transporting prisoners ahead of their release.

A Syrian website which follows the events in the country and appears to be supportive of the Assad regime said that the video was uploaded by pro-regime activists. Opposition elements were quoted as saying that that the soldier had participated in the violent crackdown on protesters.

I honestly thought there would be a bigger mess to see when they turned him over at the end. For this reason, I will only rate this video 4 stars instead of 5

You and me both! I was expecting hamburger meat when they flipped him over. His arm and face didn't look too good though.
