A bit more info:

The authorities identified this Thursday afternoon the two ladies who lost their lives in a bus accident in the morning hours on the Bávaro-Miches highway, Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

They are 41 year old K.R.D, of Peruvian nationality, and 33 year old V.V.B., Argentine. The lifeless bodies were transferred to the Ávila de Verón funeral home.

'K' was traveling with her husband and their minor son. After the accident, father and son are receiving care at the Punta Cana Medical Center.

It was clarified that the minor did not suffer any type of injury and that it was he who detailed the situation to the doctors because his father was not in a position to give details.

Four Colombians, two Mexicans, two Argentines and four Peruvians receive care at this center.

The Mexicans signed the medical discharge and moved to the hotel where they are staying.

Also, it was reported that two people are going to be transferred to a health center in La Romana, because a 73-year-old woman, whose name was not revealed, needs to be seen by a neurosurgeon. Her 34-year-old granddaughter, with whom she traveled to the country, decided to go with her.

At the moment, in that health center, it has not been necessary to transfuse any of the 14 patients who are hospitalized, nor amputate any limb of the body. They are stable.

However, in Hospiten, there are 19 patients. Of these, four had to have body parts amputated. A man lost his limbs.

Among the extirpated body parts they mentioned legs, fingers and arms. The others are being treated for moderate trauma.

A 3rd woman, 44 year old V.P.M, died whilst having surgery.

Updtate 10/30/22 Driver gets one-year jail sentence.

Most of the country stood with the driver under the claims that he was treated unfair, and it was not his fault, rather an accident. Five people died, and many others lost limbs. Major fukkk up from the prosecution. Typical Dominican. If the tourist had been from the US, the outcome would have been different.
