Re: Disastrously Funky!
That is an example of the venerable 9mm Uzi being emptied at 0:07; they sound like nothing else. I hope the assassin was wearing hearing protection. Otherwise, he spent that remainder of the day accompanied by a soundtrack of "REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE".

Re: Disastrously Funky!
Hmm, that's awesome. I'd like to shoot one of those Ingram guns some time--MAC #'s. Or one of those helicopter mounted guns that fire so many rounds that they look like they're emitting some kind of flexible laser beam.

Re: Disastrously Funky!
The helicopter gun you're referring to is an M230 chain gun, which fires a 30mm round. I actually have one sitting right here, coincidentally, so I snapped a picture of it to illustrate why it's so devastating: https://i.imgur.com/A1gaz5L.jpg |

Re: Disastrously Funky!
The cyclic rate sounds too fast for an Uzi. Also, the sound strikes me as more of a 5.56 than a 9mm. But, then again, cell phone sound reproduction is not necessarily reliable so... |

Re: Disastrously Funky!
I could well be wrong; yesterday I argued passionately that the "mammoth" on Sesame St was named "Dr. Snuffleupticus" Also, to my ears, that doesn't sound anything like an M16, but you make a good point about sound quality. I'm sure the phone mic could be clipping the sharper, cracking sound of a rifle. In the end, we're probably both wrong lol. |
