A few days ago, a man was hit by a high-speed car in the Changqing service area of Jinan-Taiwan Expressway in Shandong. On the evening of the 19th, the local police issued a notice that the pedestrian died due to improper operation by the driver who used the accelerator as a brake. The full text is as follows: Information briefing At about 14:14 on May 17, 2023, Yu (male, 58 years old, from Jiangsu) drove a small car Su K168RR along the Beijing-Taiwan Expressway to the Changqing service area. Due to improper operation, he used the accelerator as a brake , resulting in the death of pedestrian G. Yu was immediately controlled by the police, and the accident is being further dealt with. The car that caused the accident later hit a concrete barrier and stopped. A male driver was stuck in the car. Several firefighters rescued him. The concrete barrier was knocked tens of meters away by the car and hit a parked car.  · |
