Most likely, yes. There's a lot of important shit in the area he was stabbing, and it looks like he got his SVC at least once. In the pic below, blue is unoxingenated blood, red is oxygenated. The larger the artery/vein, the more important it is.


We actually see him progress from decorticate posturing to the more serious decerebrate posturing. Both types are commonly seen after a seizure like his.
