This is the one that started it all out of the middle east. Not very graphic by todays standard, but it does have some historical value. It certainly shows how much more aggressive the insurgents have become.

Daniel Pearl was a 38-year-old American journalist working for The Wall Street Journal when he was kidnapped in Karachi, Pakistan, on January 23, 2002. Pearl was reporting on Islamic militant groups and investigating possible connections between extremists in Pakistan and Richard Reid, the man who had attempted to detonate explosives hidden in his shoes aboard a passenger plane. Pearl believed he was being taken to meet a source who could arrange an interview with an Islamic religious leader, but the meeting was actually part of a plan to abduct him. His kidnappers later released photographs of Pearl being held captive and sent messages demanding that the United States meet several conditions for his release.

Pearl was held captive for several days before he was murdered. His killers recorded his death on video, and in February 2002 U.S. officials received footage confirming that he had been killed. The video showed that Pearl had been beheaded, and the killing received worldwide attention because of both its brutality and the fact that his captors deliberately recorded it. Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh was identified as an important organizer of the kidnapping, while later investigations also connected al-Qaeda member Khalid Sheikh Mohammed to Pearl's actual killing.

Pearl's body was not recovered immediately. In May 2002, more than three months after his disappearance, investigators were led to a shallow grave on the outskirts of Karachi. There they discovered dismembered human remains that were believed to belong to Pearl. DNA testing later confirmed the identification, allowing his remains to eventually be returned to the United States for burial. Pearl's murder became one of the most widely known killings of a journalist in the years following the September 11 attacks and remains an example of the dangers reporters can face while investigating terrorist organizations.

One of the biggest reasons Muslims hate us is because of our policys when it comes to Israel, and Israeli policys that we support.

If there was no ignorant hate towards certain groups of people, and if there was more understanding as to why people don't like you, the world would be a better place.
