Why would you look towards the gunman? Maybe he didn't even know precisely where they were. What is looking at the gunman going to accomplish other than a bullet between the eyes. Looked quite real.

i guarantee that if you were being shot at and weren't killed outright, your very first instinct would be to turn your head towards the space where your ears and brain perceived the gunfire to emanate from. it is called survival. information collection always helps, and the depths of the animal(human) brain are wired to do it.

Sorry, disregard my above post. Just remembered that their warped culture fully sanctions the use of children trained by their fathers & elders to fight as soldiers. In which case, a child in the battlefield is most likely perceived as a direct threat by the opposing side and is fair game, sick as it is. We must remember that their version of Islam is not about love & protecting the children, but about brutality, machismo, blind faith, deadly fanaticism, monstrous rites of passage and annihilating the enemy...at all costs.
