Even though the cop was a pussy for shooting this guy in the back...WHEN will people learn, nothing good ever comes from running from or not listening to a cop? Seriously. If the moron had stayed in his car, he would be alive today. The video I saw today shows the initial traffic stop. The interaction between the two was normal. The dude was driving someone else's car, no registration and I believe and had an active warrant for failure to pay child support. If he had not run, the worst case scenario was that he would have been arrested and the car impounded. He chose to run...and now he is dead. Once again, let this be a lesson to anyone who thinks they are better off ignoring a police officer's instructions. Like it or not, just listen to them.  |

It's shit like this incident that makes the job so much harder for us as police. A 250 yard chase, knocking the taser out of the officers hand and a light struggle, that usually warrants some crisp hands on activity but Jesus Christ, five rounds to the back? By law, the only time it's justified shooting a suspect in the back while he/she is fleeing is when he/she has committed a felony and poses an immediate dangerous risk to the officer and or public at large.

Is the cop really that bad of a shot? He didn't need to empty the clip on this loser. All he had to do was keep running after him/call for backup. Instead, he's a murderer. Karma got 2 birds with 1 stone. |
