I know what you're saying... and don't disagree... but religion is definitely a part of culture, and definitely tied to the lands these people are fighting and dying over since the dawn of man.

Hamas, itself, is a militant religious group. A large majority of Israeli's are Jewish. Both believe their people have "rights" over said "holy or sacred" lands over the other.

The attacks occurred during or near religious holidays, as they often do. Religion is very much a part of why and how these conflicts happen in general.

Anyway, for what it's worth, we both have valid points.
