I think that's why the guy shot him first, to take some of his strength away. It looks like he shot him in the left wrist maybe, to render him less capable of fighting back. He looked kind of weakened anyway.

chechen rebels prefer to torture and humilate thier captives. You can see in this video the guy beheading the russian has done it many times before. during the first and second chechen wars with russia, chechen rebels have beheaded many thousands of russian soldiers like this. they used the severed heads also to put outside of the main city grozny along the main roads into the city on top of walls etc to scare the shit out of the new recruits coming into battle. they are pure evil these people and they rank the most ruthless out of all the people that you want to be captured by. the poor officer in this video never ran away as he would have been held captive for god knows how long and would have been too weak to do anything about his fate. another thing, chechen rebels always kill any officers they catch, and they would sell the info on the whereabouts of the bodies to there victims families for cash. total scumbags, but they got their arse kicked in the end and they are now losing thier war with russia, as the brave russian soldiers have killed most of these evil bastards!!!

The victims are usually drugged, not for their benefit, but so the muscles are relaxed and easier to cut through and so they struggle less. If they cut the carotid artery and the jugular vein first, he or she should lose consciousness in about 4-10 seconds. If the middle of the throat is cut first, of course it would be longer. Any which way, I think the emotional pain would be far worse than the physical. From what I've read, and I've read a lot, it looks and sounds really bad, but is (supposedly) one of the most humane ways to kill someone.  |
I think he felt it until he either bled out or they finally cut the spinal column. he was still moving...
