This is odd. It looks more like an Oxygen fire to me. If there was enough heavier-than-air gas (or any other hydrocarbon) for it to be present at head height, I'd have expected them to be showing signs of asphyxia, not to mention smell the odorant in the gas.

Someone mentioned that scene in Terminator 2. You could splice this right in between the chainlink and the swing set. Is it true that LNG, Propane and the like, all actually have that strong sulphury smell added to them for easier detection of leaks? I know that the high purity butane, the type you'd use to pull oils and make wax has no smell at all. |
