Let this be a lesson...never lose your phone. In all seriousness, you people saying "he got what he deserved" or "I'd do more than that to him" are bringing into existence the notion of free will, which has lots of good evidence for not actually existing. Thus, maybe killing him was a way to prevent further harm and suffering, but we still can't blame the guy for what he did. We have to be better than that if you really want a society where this type of shit doesn't happen in the first place. He didn't choose to abuse kids any more than people in this thread chose to vent their anger towards him. It's all cause and effect. What matters is that we try to correct it and use the best possible method we know at the time to prevent future harm and suffering. |
