Cerol Kite Line Hit High Tension Wire Before Electrocuting a Biker
Aftermath. Brazil. On Tuesday, July 4, a 46 year old biker stopped his motorcycle to answer a call from his cell phone. Witnesses said that children that had raised a kite with a cerol line hit an electrical wire. The line made a cut in the wire so the children let go off the kite so the cerol kite line hit the motorcyclist who was immediately electrocuted, dying on the spot. In Brazil, the mix of glue and powdered glass is called "cerol". Also often aluminum powder is used to strengten the kite line and is often used in so called kite fighting. Two people have died after having their necks cut with cerol lines this year in Goiás State. Now one got killed in a different State when a powdered kite line hit a high tension wire and the line fell onto a passing biker who got electrocuted. Throughout Brazil, there are about 130 deaths due to accidents involving cerol kite lines and about 500 occurrences of lower potential," reported police. Police also explained that whoever is using cerol in kites can face prison time. "The Penal Code provides for imprisonment for 3 months to 1 year for endangering people's life. Anyone who is releasing a kite with the mixture will be taken to the police station and the parents will also be hold responsible, "police clarifies. |

I wonder what Benjamin Franklin would have thought of this.

So i guess the kids are to blame for this. Unfortunate for the biker. At first glance i thought he was flying a kite while riding a bike. Also it mentions "Kite Fighting"... wtf |

Kids are dicks, regardless of time and space. It's the nature of the beast, as we see in this short, hard hitting social drama. |

Re: Cerol Kite Line Hit High Tension Wire Before Electrocuting a Biker
Learned something new on DR.....kite fighting is a REAL thing....one of the dumbest things I've ever heard of but still a thing. I understand that it's popular in Afghanistan as well......who has time for kite fighting? Also noted that these glass coated kite strings are outlawed in Mumbai.....still poop in public but the kites are safer at least... Seems to be a popular activity in some of the more sophisticated locals of the world. |
