There's an island near us that you can drive too at low tide, on a proper road, but when the tide's in it's about a mile offshore and there's not many warning signs. Tourists sometimes get trapped and instead of waiting, they panic and try to drive back which never ends well

I live in India and I ll tell you what could have happened here :
Fuckers were drunk , removed the barricades ect and forced their way through.The PWD would put causion board and temp close roads as they know if people die they ll have to go to court.
