I would risk the jump, even if you would somehow survive being roasted in your balcony, the rest of your life would be painful afterwards.

I'm confused, there is a pole right next to them, i would just slide my ass all the way down to the bottom, risk a broken bone or two, i don't know what the circumstances were leading up to the fire but... i most certainly would not would have just stood there in a middle of a burning balcony ..BIZZARE
