Re: Burned Alive: Over 100 Killed in Nightclub Fire
Station Club fire, 2003 on Long Island (or was it rhode Island?). Just like you said, firework fountains ignited onstage as the band Great White began to play at 11:00 pm. The fireworks set fire to sound insulation. Over 100 people died. Almost the same circumstances as this Perm Russia nightclub fire, within a few minutes dense smoke made it impossible to find an escape. 1) don't go to places that use fireworks indoors 2) know the nearest exit(s) and be able to get out of the building blindfolded 3) panic (research shows those who panic first survive more than non-panickers) 4) sell paper currencies for precious metals and other hard assets before other people panic and do the same (see #3 above) |
