That's an excellent question. The reason is very different than the reason so many people hate Islam. In North America, the problem with Christianity is more about the constant violations of human rights that is promoted by the far right christian fundamentalists and catholics. For instance, the anti-women's rights, anti-homosexual rights, the anti-science promotion, and the teaching of ancient myths (like Adam and Eve) (or the earth is 6000 years old) (or god is real) as if they were backed by scientific evidence. Brainwashing their own children to think that science is the work of the DEVIL (<- imaginary) In Ontario, we have to pay tax dollars that fund a catholic school system, regardless of whether or not we are catholic, yet all other religions do not receive this luxury. There are CONSTANT attempts by the religious loonies to have sex education removed from the school curriculum, and teach the bible in SCIENCE class. The Vatican and THE POPE himself were demonstrated countless times to have "hidden" pedophile preists rather than contacting authorities. This was done in an effort to protect the Vatican's reputation, rather than to protect the innocent children. These are just a few examples of the MASSIVE problem that educated and informed people have with Christianity. Most people here don't even realize that the Catholic school board is publicly funded with our hard earned taxes, so they don't protest what they don't know about. Yeah that was a great answer and I agree. The Christians are accomplishing all of this without violence. I am no wheres near as hard on Christians as I am Muslims because we never see Christians killing innocent people up in the name of their God. |
