Probably one of the more accessible methods around the world for sure, but not painless, and you can prolong a hanging if you dont use the right type of ligature or tie it incorrectly. Heroin overdose or one of those helium mask contraptions are probably the least painful methods, and relatively fool-proof.

Reminds me of Kevin Hines who was in the documentary about the many suicides on the Golden Gate Bridge called The Bridge. This guy beat all the suicide statistics simply because of good timing. He was part of the 1% to survive the fall and talks about his experience. He has since talked to some of the other survivors and said they all had instant regret the moment their hands left the railing. He was able to turn his life around, but sadly that's not always the case.
