  Three criminals tried to rob a telephone store this Wednesday morning and took an employee hostage on Rua do Comércio, in Angra dos Reis, Costa Verde. One of the assailants died and two others were arrested. The Military Police was called in and agents from the 33rd BPM (Angra dos Reis) were at the scene. According to witnesses, after the arrival of the police, two suspects surrendered, but the third left the store with the employee taken hostage. The PM informed that the criminal who was holding the hostage employee tried to flee, and a civil police officer, who was passing by at the time of the robbery, shot at the criminal. The assailant was even taken to a hospital, but he did not resist his injuries and died. |
