Re: Brazil - Body of Man Attacked by Shark
But if it even clipped that big blood vessel going down the leg, especially being in water, trying to swim only using one leg, he could've bled out 10 feet from where it happened. If you've ever seen a Bull Shark bite something, it's like a snap--aimless, spastic mouthful, and it's gone. |

Re: Brazil - Body of Man Attacked by Shark
Thats friggn awesome. I love sharks too. I am a volunteer investigator for the International Shark Attack Files and sit on the Shark Awareness Research Conservation board. I got involved with sharks in 1990 and spend most of my free time fund raising educating others and learning everything I can.

Re: Brazil - Body of Man Attacked by Shark
I have free dived with many different sharks with just snorkel and fins (won't lie - most of them smaller sharks and also dis-interested). This is a true story though: When I was snorkeling the wrecks on Moreton Island in QLD, there was this HUGE long shark sitting next to a sunken vessel, on the sea floor (sand). BUT - It had in its mouth what looked like a plastic shopping bag and the poor think looked like it was gagging on that shit. Thinking I'm brave, I took a HUGE breath and went down again and also did compression. Pulled out the the "plastic shopping bag" from said sharks mouth, and re-surfaced, only to realize the following: It was no shopping bag... ...It was the remains of a huge juicy tropical ("parrot") fish. Whoops! |
