DISTURBING VIDEO: Reckless 14-year-old dies performing stunts in a moving train in Mumbai

Mumbai: There was an interest followed with exaggerated zeal in 2012 when news spread about the death defying stunts done by some youngsters in local trains. The video showcasing the death defying stunts went viral on internet and people went into a scramble searching for these miscreants. The police announced that those caught doing these stunts would be booked for attempt to suicide. Similar such incidents came to record in 2010 also, but the police could get hold of none.



Despite the police taking severe measures against this kind of undesirable behavior, teenagers continued with their dangerous tricks, including reckless aerobatics in running locals.



But on 9th August 2013, Sayeed Mohsin Raza, aged 14 slipped while swinging off the pole at the compartment’s entrance in a train between Thane and Mumbra. His family members, in mourning, were at first not ready to believe that Mohsin lost his life indulging in an irresponsible and mischievous way. They had believed that Mohsin was a responsible, well-behaved boy who would never indulge in such harmful and noxious acts.



His father, Sayeed Husain Raza, requested other parents to keep an eye on their kids lest they resort to such injurious and hurtful activities. They don’t understand the importance of life at a young age and we need to teach them,” said Husain, who had four children, Mohsin being the youngest.



Mohsin, while engaged in his acts, fell out of the train near Reti Bunder.



Further interrogations suggested that 71 such persons have been fined, since Mohsin’s death, when they were caught performing fatal stunts in trains. The police have further formally asked the parents to teach their kids about the dangers of such stunts to avoid such accidents in future.
