Ok so the guy calls the police to surrender his weapon, comes out, puts his hands in the air as instructed, keeps them there, doesn’t drop the gun he is holding in the space of 3 seconds as they are all yelling at him at the same time, then they shoot him dead. Honestly the speed of that was crazy. He had literally no time to process anything let alone comply. He wasn’t pointing the gun at anyone. His hands were both up and visible.

Am I missing something? How was that a justified shooting?

Yes, you are missing the part where they say loud and clear to drop the gun

Anyway, why bring up the gun? All he had to do is just come out, surrender, then thee police can confiscate his weapon

That being said, i'm not a cop lover/supporter, but looking at the guys face, he is more than likely a gang member or just the specific type of immigrant scum that they had to deal with, i'd say the shot was justified

If they let him live, he will rape your daughter, selling hard drugs/weapons, forming more criminal gangs etc.

All of these talk about the police state is fine and -to some extent- is right, but i don't see what's the big deal here

The only thing I see when I look at his picture is a Mexican. If he was in a Mexican gang his face would be green with tattoos. I honestly can't see anything on his face that tells me he's a criminal. I don't believe the police handled it as they should. They knew he was drunk as the dispatcher was talking to him still when they got there, he told them he was going outside and taking the gun with him. It's not like they came to this situation unaware.

Again, it's not rocket science even if you have lower two digit IQ, that taking the gun with yourself when you're going to surrender is not a good idea

Apparently his wife was nagging at him or something to not leave it in the house, from what I've read. She wanted it gone. He was drunk and was stupid. I still don't think he deserved to die for that.

Plus it wouldn't make sense for him to be a gang member and be going handing a gun in to the police, at his home.

Didn’t matter - in the milliseconds they gave him to do the right thing, he was blown away anyway. Doubtless any of the above would have been seen as an act of aggression anyway.

He may not have been a useful member of society but be careful what you wish for. Police becoming executioners when they don’t like your face?

Dont pull a gun when the cops come and you wont get shot.. Should have left the weapon, empty breech, magazine out far away from the scene
