Lady Lara, this is where you and I differ on the opinion of who's "in charge". The majority of MSM is left-leaning and so controls a majority of the "narrative".
Twitter, Twitch, and Google (Youtube) purposefully stifle, ban, or demonetize people with conservative opinions.
As for "cancel culture", this has been a major tactic of the left. They started it and use it when people don't fall in line.

Who told you the MSM is "left-leaning"? It was the right wing MSM. It is corporate owned by billionaires, like Bezos and Murdock's clan. Is is sponsored by giant corporations. Trump has given them billions. The Republicans have the White House, the Senate and the Supreme Court. The right and elite control the media and the government. Why haven't we advanced under the great leader? The rich have gotten much richer. The poor have gotten poorer. The government is in great debt.
We used to be ahead of Europe. We need to buy Greenland, and we can make an offer to Russia for Finland.

First of all, I wasn't told. I experienced it first-hand (as you have) through exposure to media stories and "news". I saw the "narratives" for what they were.

Left-leaning garbage articles and editorials, and a whole lot of it.
And but of course you wouldn't recognize the left-leaning bias my dear, that's where your sentiments lay as well. Also, you're only focusing on stuff like Fox News. However, the majority of MSM is left-leaning.

My second step was to look up "main stream media bias" on duckduckgo rather than the biased Google search.
