Bicyclist Stabbed to Death in Road Rage Incident

India, New Delhi, In yet another road rage incident, a tempo driver stabbed a bicyclist to death in west Delhi's Nangloi area after the tempo got brushed against the bicycle. The driver has been absconding after the incident.

The incident was reported around 8.45am and the deceased has been identified as Hira Lal (32). He had come from Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh, for work. He was working as a labour.

On Monday, Hira Lal was going for work on his bicycle when the incident happened. As he reached Sultanpuri road, his bicycle brushed the tempo.

According to witnesses, Lal started the argument first. He first started abusing the driver.

Later the driver whipped out a knife and stabbed Lal. He stabbed him 3 times and fled from the spot when the locals started gathering.

One of the passersby made a PCR call and informed the police about the incident. Lal was rushed to the Hospital where he succumbed to his injury due to excessive bleeding. His body was handed over to his family after conducting postmortem.

Police have registered a case of murder under IPC section 302 at Nangloi police station. Police have also recovered CCTV footage of the entire act.

The tempo driver, according to police, have been identified as one of the bystanders had noted down his license plate number.

Damn. People actually tried to intervene. I can't believe it.

If it had been in China, they all would have stood there and watched like stoned chickens. At least here they made an attempt to capture the guy. Mind you, after watching him stab up a guy I'd be a little cautious too.
