Re: The Assassination Of Japanese Socialist Party Leader Inejiro Asanuma With A Tantō
This picture was taken only a second before the japanese socialist Party leader Asanuma was assassinated by an right wing student. Photographer Yasushi Nagao said he was only on the right place and on the right time. (1960)

Re: The Assassination Of Japanese Socialist Party Leader Inejiro Asanuma With A Tantō
If the killer didn't charge with full speed and intent, he would'nt have been successful. The security and others were on him immediately, even as the blade was being shoved in. It's also interesting to note that it was the momentum of the killer's body that drove the blade in, as opposed to any type of stabbing motion. The blade was in a fixed position as he ran.

If that is a tanto, it is an exceptionally long blade. you are taught to give a slight "twist" to free the blade if you are going to withdraw it to releive the suction in the body cavity and cause a secondary cut upon withdrawl.
