Indeed, it could very well be him. I saw a comparison photo that is quite striking (the bumps on the head are similar…), but it’s hard to say with 100% certainty that it’s really him. Also, it’s not easy because all the comments found under the different photos are not in English. But maybe you have more informations ?

The clearest thing visually is that the birthmark on his arm matches. But, he also admitted it on FB (and then deleted it).

I didn't crack this one, I was just following a bunch of Vietnamese dudes who have been on the case super hard, Vietnamese doesn't translate super easily to English so it's a little tough to suss everything out, but he was outed and he said something along the lines of "ya so, im untouchable and im not afraid of death anymore anyway" or something fairly weird and cryptic.

The prevailing attitude is that he's an official of some kind and the government is so corrupt etc. that he's very likely to get away with it.

I looked into it a bit and indeed it is him. Apparently he has just confirmed it. He went back to the crime scene and we can see a photo where he committed the murder, shown under Bluestar. But it’s true that the translations from Vietnamese to English aren’t very clear.
