Re: Airport Construction Worker Slashed Throat of Co-worker

It wasn't a heart attack but i think this guy is right

Gonna change slashes into slashed into the title Still weird that the guy was slashed before the vid starts and just starts standing there bleeding on the ground for a while and not feeling his neck or throat but that could be the alcohol and cold in combination with a real sharp blade causing that as i've seen stranger things on DR. lol
Agree. It's impossible that he fall so quick after the last slash (If it would be the only one).

His body didn't move while being "slashed". Something else happened.

Ah ! somebody figured it out : 1970.... Only the tail end of the knife fight was caught on camera . He was cut before comming into view of video , bleeding out already . Only then succumbing to his wounds .
Yup, I don't think the slash we see in the vid even hit the guy, he backs up and staggers then falls.

Re: Airport Construction Worker Slashed Throat of Co-worker

I've looked at this 3 or 4 times slowed down and he doesn't make contact.. He's actually 5-6 inches away from his face. Another thing the "blade" looks like it disappears from his hand, which makes me think the black line of the blade image was added to the video afterwards... Personally I think it was a heart attack, Hence the CPR near the end, You don't administer CPR if there's a break in the blood supply going to the brain.
Actually, there are many reasons why one would perform CPR on a person who is bleeding. The order of treatment for a critically injured patient is "ABC", airway, then breathing, then circulation. It takes longer to bleed out than it does for the brain to 'die' from lack of oxygen. To be even more specific and take this a step further, medical professionals use ABCNE as the order of treatment. Airway, breathing, circulation, neurological then extremities.
Whether to first perform CPR or tend to the bleeding is not that cut and dry. In the field there are many factors that one needs to take into consideration, such as if you are alone or have help, how much the patient is bleeding, how long it will take to get medical attention, etc. Always treat life over limb. It doesn't make sense to fix a patient's leg, for instance, if he will be brain dead. I hope this clarifies things a bit.
