~ I am so sure that the couple hired an inept nanny who could not keep the kid at rest at night, so the father had to take over the nanny's job, and because the actress mother was gonna perform &/or attend an event the next day, she needed her much demanding diva beauty sleep, so he ended up losing valuable sleep. Plus he also had to drive there, in a hurry, because she was running late, getting perfectly ready & all, as well as because of the kid acting up, etc... Thus a triple eminent whammy leading to a most probable catastrophe.

What they did was stupid but no kid deserves to grow up without their real, actual parents who brought them into the world.

As the other guy said though, at least the kid isn't old enough to remember this. Still sad. As someone with young kids the pics of the injured kid were tearjerkers.
