Brazil, Police research indicates that the order for the slaughter was ordered from inside prison in Fortaleza. A drug trafficker of a criminal faction ordered the attacks.

In the slaughter that happened on Friday (9), seven people were murdered in a series of attacks in the little square of Gentilândia in the Benfica neighborhood. Two people are still hospitalized at the Dr. José Frota Institute Hospital.

According to information, police dismissed Saturday afternoon that the attacks were related to rivalry between organized factions. "What motivated the killing was a seize of weapons and ammunition that belonged to this criminal drug faction trafficker who is imprisoned. For revenge, he ordered the killing," police said.

Four of the ones that were killed belonged to another criminal faction.

José (33), Antônio (26), Joaquim (21), died in the little square of Gentilândia.

Carlos (23), Pedro (22), Emilson (27), and Adenilton (24), were shot at Vila Demétro. The first two died at the spot and the other two died in the Hospital.

The Civil Police arrested on Sunday (11) a man suspected of participating in the crime. With him, the police seized three firearms, ammunition and gun holsters. Police spotted the suspect after locating a car, which appeared in the images of security cameras near the square, where some of the murders occurred.

Logic is it takes the market away from Cartels. Back when alcohol was illegal, organized crime started circling around alcohol smuggling. Theres always going to be customers for these things and you can never get fully rid of the problem so the best alternate is to mitigate the effects.

Theres a news article about californian hippies being forced to move to the East coast to sell marijuana because legalisation of marijuana took their livelihood and business away so the method has definitely proven to work.
