An attack on a gambling club in a suburb of Santiago, Chile has left 5 people dead. Authorities say the shooting was done by one person.

Authorities are investigating to see if this was a dispute between rival gangs. No arrests have been made so far.

Authorities say the incident happened on Thursday night at around 9:00 PM when a person arrived to the location and began firing against a group of people.

Two men died in the shooting while three others died after being transported to hospitals in the area.

The gunman fired at the group of people from a short distance. It is believed that the suspect used a modified weapon and fired at least 70 times.

Police have already identified the author of the shooting that resulted in 5 people killed, so police are working to arrest him.

Prosecutor Héctor Barros confirmed the information and for the moment ruled out that the fact is an adjustment of accounts linked to drug trafficking.

An off-site discussion with one of the deceased was likely the reason, but apparently, the rest of the people had no relationship with the subject.

They identified the victims:

L. B. A, 46, (male) with a history of serious injuries in 2010.

Y. C. R. A., 47, (female) with a history of violation of the 20,000 law in 2012.

Law 20,000, which replaces Law No. 19,366, which sanctions the illicit traffic in narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, 1 known as the Drug Law, 2 3 is a Chilean law that typifies crimes and offenses related to drug trafficking and consumption and confers special powers of investigation to the authority.

Two others, identified as Y. N. R. M., 18, (male) and M. G. L. I., 38, (male) having no criminal record.
