5 Dead in a Car After Crash (4 are family)
On the night of 26th April 2019 on the Azua-Baní motorway (Dominican Republic), a road accident claimed the lives of 5 people. 20 year old L.A.A.F. was the driver of the car + he had tried to overtake a truck. He ended up crashing into the back of the lorry, killing himself + his 4 passengers. 'L's mother, 47 year old N.J.F., was among the fatalities. His sister, 25 year old N.A.F., also died. 'L' father, P.A., is also among the deceased as is 'N's boyfriend, 20 year old R.J.P. The bodies were trapped in the vehicle + firefighters + bystanders worked hard to remove them.

Very true but I think in this instance they didn't see the other vehicle as it didn't have the rear lights on. Edit: I've just found out more info' + updated the main post. The driver of the car was overtaking the lorry.

A repeat of the Jayne Mansfield accident. They were following a truck that was spraying for mosquitoes. Heavy smoke all around, and they ran through the smoke and right into the back of the spraying truck. I don't think JM was going that fast, the kids in the back survived.

Shame that some people are not given the chance to learn that speeding, doesn’t always get you places faster. More often than not, they take other innocent people with them

I saw this elsewhere...with the story that the truck didn’t have its lights on and the driver of the car didn’t see the truck in the darkness.

Wow, it looks like they didn't even slow down before the impact. The car is almost completely underneath the truck. I'm guessing that they don't have the Jaws Of Life over there cuz the people were basically using their bare hands to extract them from the vehicle. Very tragic when an entire family is wiped out so suddenly and unexpectedly. |
