When I was a kid walking the tracks, I learned that the toilets on the freight train engines were standpipes over a hole in the deck. I forget who told me that, but sometimes we would find human turds right in the center of the tracks. Made sense to me. Also brought out dry heaves to have to walk past the fresh turds.

This vid makes me wonder if the woman in yellow didn't have her head covered with a burka, she may have (1) seen the oncoming train in her peripheral vision and (2) had a better chance to triangulate the sound of the second oncoming train.

Never saw any turds or urine streaks in all the years we walked that section of railroad. Maybe the routes were too short, and they never had to go.

Bench guy had his head turned toward the oncoming train for a few seconds before the camera panned left. He must have stood up and tried to scoop the kids, based on the OP description of the incident.

Maybe it was made up by one of the kids I was running with. I forget where I heard that.
