Possibly as many members of the Nueva Plaza Cartel used to belong to the CJNG. In fact, its alleged leader, Carlos Enrique Sánchez, alias “El Cholo,” was once a confidant of CJNG leader Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, alias “El Mencho.”
