Police recovered money taken by civilians after a bank robbery in Maranhão. Citizens took the money that the robbers dropped when they were leaving the crime scene in a hurry. On Sunday night (26), dozens of thugs attacked the police station, PM barracks and robbed a city bank. The Civil Police said Monday that part of the money that was taken by assailants on Sunday night (25) from a Banco do Brasil branch was recovered.

Police showed a mountain of money divided into notes of $ 2, 5, 10, 20, 50 and 100 reais. So far, at least two people have been arrested for entering the bank branch and taking the ballots left after the robbery. However, some people are returning the money to the police spontaneously.

In addition to the bank robbery, the thugs set fire to vehicles and attacked the headquarters of the 15th Military Police Battalion and the Regional Police Police Station.

Three members of the gang were killed in the clash with the police and a suspect was arrested.
