23-year-old Motorcyclist Dies in Accident
A 23-year-old motorcyclist was killed in an accident after hitting a car and getting hit by a cart on Monday morning at the Dutra in São José dos Campos. The accident happened around 11.30 at the height of Km 146 on the track towards São Paulo. According to the Federal Highway Police, the traffic stopped suddenly and the motorcyclist could not stop in time to avoid a collision. The motorcyclist hit the back of a car and was thrown and ended up being hit by a wagon. Teams from the Federal Highway Police and the Nova Dutra concessionaire were deployed to attend the incident, but the victim did not resist the injuries and died. According to the company that runs the highway at 2:00 p.m., the slope was two kilometers - from Km 144 to 146. The congestion reached four kilometers. |
