20 Year Old Woman Buying Water Murdered by Shots in the Face by Security Troops
The community in Ihiala local government area of Anambra State, Nigeria has petitioned the Anambra State Police Command, over the gruesome killing of a woman on Wednesday. In a petition dated Thursday 26 November said Miss C. E. (20) was shot dead by security agents without any provocation.  On Thursday 25th Nov. she was sent on an errand by the mother to buy bags of sachet water from one of the shops located along the major road where she met her untimely death from these policemen driving through Azia from Orsumoghu. She was accompanied by her junior brother who is 14 years old. Both were shot at close-range by one of the men of this special unit inside an Armoured vehicle. The brother fortunately escaped but she was unfortunately killed. Bullets scattered her head. She died instantly. It’s quite unimaginable because there was no form of provocation that could be linked to this. About 100 meters from the site of this incident, they equally opened fire on a packed sienna space bus by a block industry. We contacted the Area Commander on this, he told us that the policemen are a special unit from Awka deployed to Orsumoghu against the IPOB boys. The community said they were totally different from Orsumoghu geographically, and that they are a very peaceful town with no history of unrest or hiding of criminal elements in the town. This murder is gruesome, wicked and totally unacceptable by the community. Presently her body is deposited at Osungwu memorial hospital mortuary. We humbly demand justice from your good office on the murder of our daughter,” the petition read. |

This is horrific, as a father it's heartbreaking to see this beautiful young girl get executed for no reason like this. My heart goes out to the family. As a white man living in the UK I realise how very lucky I am to live in the western world.

~ This is what happens when an investigation keeps going nowhere, & the officers involved have their jobs threatened, if there are no results soon. ~ So they then look for any excuse to make it look like innocents were somehow involved & they had to take deadly action. |
