2 Students Sitting on Their Bike on Flyover Hit by Car
Two young students who were hanging out at a Mall intersection flyover in Sumatra, died after being hit by a car. The car driver, A. (24) was detained by Police. The fatal collision occurred at around 21.00 WIB. The two students, F. and K. A. were relaxing on the flyover on a motorbike that had stopped on the side of the road. As a result of the accident, F. was bounced against the windshield of the car and fell down on the road below. He died on the spot, while K. A. died on the way to the hospital. Police secured the driver of the car and have been questioned for a while. So the investigation (drunkenness and consumption of drugs) has yielded zero results. The car driver admitted that he lost his concentration because something fell during the incident. Regarding the large number of residents hanging out and stopping at the flyover, Police told they often patrol a number of flyovers. |

Where were they parked? I can CLEARLY see other bikes driving BEHIND them. Were they stopped in an actual TRAFFIC lane? Because if they stopped in the middle of the street, they got what they deserved.  |

Second vid shows there are 2 one-way travel lanes and zero shoulder on that overpass. They had to be stopped in the left travel lane. I can't imagine the car driver is suspected to be at fault for that. |

A "flyover?" So that's what they call bridges in Sumatra? Too bad those lads couldn't fly. Well one of them did in the end, sort of.
