I wish someone would have at least knelt next to the dying man, held his hand, been close by. Something. Just so he knew he wasn't alone. I know you cant exactly go full gung ho and hug someone after a car accident (they could have a broken neck, back, etc) but if this happened to someone in my family I would want someone to at least hold their hand, touch their head, y'know- just provide some comfort for the last moment.
