In considering Anthony Hampton's sentence, jurors were asked to decide two separate questions. A death sentence would have required unanimous votes on each.

The jury was unanimous on the first question, agreeing that Mr. Hampton would pose a continuing threat to society. The second question was whether any circumstances in Mr. Hampton's life should lead to a softer sentence. Two jurors voted yes. His life was spared. A separate jury recommended life for Wayne Hampton (the non gunman) a month later.

The shooter def. should have given the death penalty imo.

He said he shoot him out of frustration at not getting enough money, and because the store cashier had seen his face. Well he'd have still seen his face had they got what they wanted, so it's clear that the plan was to kill anyone that saw their faces. So they valued life/lives at maybe a couple hundred dollars max...

Apart from being evil, theses cunts were also as dumb as rocks, when you consider the far more rewarding gambles involving killing people, that they could have chosen to take instead. Risk and reward calculations are really very simple.

It sounds like agonal breathing to me, his ability to breathe shutting down rapidly and making him 'snore'. Happens to people who have heart attacks and die as well. One thing for sure is that it isn't a death rattle, which only comes when people have been dying for days.
