Re: Woman Impaled on Spiked Fence.

My youngest brother did something similar when he was like 8 years old..fell from an elevated area ontop a spike in fence like this.went in armpit, stopped inside his neck. his was just one rod though...

He had very blood loss.. but was life flighted out of town to a larger medical facility.

Meant to say "he had very little bloody loss"..
When I was typing that ... I should have been in bed.

Also, doctors told him inch to the left, would have got the artery in the shoulder.. slightly different angle, would have caught the carotid.. and inch in further he would have gotten his trachea. lucky guy eh?

They kept him overnight for observation.. they were afraid he injected air into the wound..
He was running from his older brother and his oldest brother (Me..) when he fell and got impaled..
Of course I felt like a dick about it all for some time to come..
When he was younger back then....poor guy was at the hospital like once a month for stitches for something or another.. aptly earned the nickname "bruiser"..

Re: Woman Impaled on Spiked Fence.

She would work darn well as HPDA (Human Portable Directional Antenna): all she need would be an amplifier, a roll of coaxial cable and four RF connectors: that would cover all frequencies from 7 to 1002 MHz, and she can watch TV Anywhere.

Re: Woman Impaled on Spiked Fence.

Lucky she didn't puncture the axillary artery... she'd be toast
