In non 3rd world countries dentists use a non-air-returning handpiece to section the tooth atraumatically. That first cut that was made on the cheek side of the tooth contains a fairly large "long buccal" nerve and should never be cut as shown. Also the lingual bony fracture created during the hammering/chiseling would be a healing nightmare. This video procedure obviously violated many known risk prevention rules. I bet they have no worries of malpractice...

Jesus..that guy's A butcher.. I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed..and had not one of those incisions.. (Also had A molar out before the one, same procedure, ALL of my molars were compacted!) Got knocked out for mine.. good anesthesia,and then they gave me a week supply of 5 mg percocet. Didn't really need that strong of meds..maybe the first day..but other than that..was good to go after second day. Most horrible part of my healing? was the annoying sutures kept hangin loose in my mouth!..had to trim some strands down myself..lol |
