Re: Is This the Weirdest Tooth You’ve Ever Seen?
I had one, it was called an empacted tooth, I had to have surgery and have it pulled from the middle of my mouth to the spot where the tooth was suppose to be. Took 4 years of braces and chains to pull it back to its original spot. Hurt like a bitch

Re: Is This the Weirdest Tooth You’ve Ever Seen?
Kids get this when their adult teeth grow in before the baby teeth fall out. It happened to my daughter. Her lower 2 middle teeth came in 6 months before her baby teeth fell out. Dentist called it shark teeth. After her baby teeth fell out they shifted up and are where they are supposed to be. Never seen it like this in adults though.

Re: Is This the Weirdest Tooth You’ve Ever Seen?
It's rare but, some people naturally have 3 or (even much more rarely) 4 sets of teeth over a lifetime. Now that people are living much longer, I vote for a 3 sets of teeth per lifetime minimum. After all, having multiple sets of teeth works wonderfully well for sharks. |

Re: Is This the Weirdest Tooth You’ve Ever Seen?
I've had extra teeth in my mouth as well, though nothing growing out the middle of my mouth. I have 5 wisdom teeth, and I had an extra set of molars too. I've already had 4 teeth removed to make room for the rest, now the dentist I see wants to me to have the 5 wisdom teeth removed as well. How can someone have 9 extra teeth that aren't needed?! I always say that I feel like a shark as well. They just keep on freakin' comin'. |

Re: Is This the Weirdest Tooth You’ve Ever Seen?
My upper left canine was growing out through the roof of my mouth. They put a braces bracket on it with a chain and over the course of 6 months yanked it over to where it was supposed to be. Rather painful process
