Re: Sores on Roof of Mouth
Hiya all. Managed to see my Doctor tonight.Hes had a good look and then felt them. He does not think its Cancer and has put me on Daktarin (Miconazole). He wants to check my mouth again in 2 weeks time. If no improvement he said we will go from there. Asked him if it could be cancer and he said it does not feel like Cancerous lumps. Asked him about Herpes or Syphilis and he said definitely not.I asked what could have caused this and he wasnt sure. He has also not seen anything like this before. Im happy with the antibiotic treatment first. Lets hope this antibiotic jell does the trick. Ill let you all know in 2 weeks if there is an improvement. Thanks for all your concerns and suggestions |

Re: Sores on Roof of Mouth
I had no idea this was happening in my mouth as had no pain what so ever. Only found out by chance as i felt like i had some food stuck to the roof of my mouth that my tongue wouldnt shift so i put my finger in to shift it and the roof of my mouth felt funny. Seriously no pain at all. Posted the pics here same night i found out about them, my son took the photos.

Re: Sores on Roof of Mouth
Your doctor sounds shit. That is not thrush and Daktarin is not an antibiotic, it is for thrush and fungal infections. Whatever it was originally, it's infected now and needs antibiotics. Oral cancer doesn't present as lumps either, it mainly presents as holes in the tissue of the mouth. If those are still there in a couple of weeks I would ask for a referral to a specialist for a biopsy. Better safe than sorry.
