if you check stray bullet's link, you will see that the top picture is the most recent of the three. it was taken 6 days after surgery. I never heard of that kind of snake before and I live in California but i'm not out in the boonies, i'm in a city.

ok, I had to check. apparently the bite happened in costa rica but apparently CA for central America got translated into CA as in California.
