When Odinga lost the elections, his followers burned Christians' homes, and then burned men, women and children alive in a Christian church where they took shelter. Barack 0bama had supported his cousin even before the failed election attempt. Nicholas D. Kristof, from the New York Times a year ago, reported that candidate Barack 0bama spoke the opening lines of the Islamic call to prayer, reciting them with a very good native accent. In a remark that seemed spontaneous, 0bama described the call to prayer as "one of the prettiest sounds on Earth at sunset."
