Re: Samoan Deformed Baby
Even though I have no idea, pretty sure it died. Look that baby barely has a brain, New Zealand made the right call, any surgery would be beneficial only in the minds of the family, as the baby has no fucking idea what is going on around it.

Re: Samoan Deformed Baby
You're right. I recognize what is wrong with that baby, most die immediately, and the few who survive don't live for very long. It has everything wrong with it, blind, deaf, will never walk or talk, it is just existing. The doctors know, what are they going to do? Give it cochlear implants so it can hear sounds it will never understand? Also heart problems, eating problems due to severely deformed mouth and palate, microcephaly (small brain) for god's sake. |

Re: Samoan Deformed Baby
I totally agree Snobun, and I do not say this lightly.I understand there want for there child too live because of the love they have for there child, but New Zealand had it right, even if she did survive what kind of quality of life would she TRULY have??Do not bash me as I feel I have some experience in this area as my child had to be taken off life support because of a traumatic brain injury at the age of 7.I could have kept him alive but what kind of existence would he have had?I had to dig deep and come to the conclusion that if I had kept him alive it would have only been for my sake.I chose to not be selfish and keep him in a body that he would never be able to use again as he had no brain function at all. |
