Kitchen surgeries are always the best! 1. an exacto knife? 2. no prep to the site- even if it's isopropyl alcohol 3. is that sandpaper? newspaper? 4. No packing!! That's gonna be a bad time. 5. They didn't explore the site with a sterile q-tip to ensure all the material had been evacuated. 6. NO GLOVES OMG THATS NOT OK. However- 1. The surgical incision was nice- appropriately placed, nice and small but large enough to get the contents out. No sutures required for an incision of that size, and actually that would accommodate a 1/2" iodoform packing nicely. 2. They knew to get the sac out, that was pretty knowledgeable for folks in a kitchen. 3. Nice drape technique and positioning. All in all, I'd give it a 7/10. |
