The second one is Fakhra Younus: she committed suicide in Rome, 12 years after the attack.

Her former husband poured acid on her in the presence of her son in Pakistan in 2000: needless to say, the man was acquitted of all charges in the incident.
She wrote a book, "Il volto cancellato" (The Erased Face) telling her story.


Any human capable of doing this to another human being deserves death penalty in my opinion, it's much worse than just killing someone.
Sadly, only Bangladesh introduced the death penalty for throwing acid (in 2002)
