It's stated that he has had one surgery that allowed him to turn his head. Sounds like his mouth/chin might've been pulled down to his neck/chest by tense scar tissue, which could've caused the deformities of his mouth/teeth.

I can understand that the chin would've been pulled down by scar tissue, that happens in a lot of acid and boiling water cases. Suppose I didn't think about how the tension could affect the bone structures in the mouth as well, silly me. |
