It's done to cadavers who were donors and whilst the patient is under anaesthetic - they won't feel it. It'll sting afterwards in surgical cases no doubts I used to help prep a body to remove skin from the chest downwards. I hated that damn potato peeler device they used, brrrr!!!!! It was the top few layers that were removed, to just above the muscle and fat layer. |

Medical term for the instrument is a 'dermatome'. Cheese slicer is better tho. |
